Music Lessons
Our lessons are designed to quickly give students the skills needed to start playing in a rock band. Any child or adult who wants to play rock music really only needs a few lessons before they can begin playing in a group. The songs they would play are very simple from a musical standpoint, but they are fun and have been very successful. “Wild Thing recorded by the Troggs, and also by Jimi Hendrix is a good example.
Once the person taking the lesson is having fun playing simple songs like ‘Wild Thing’ in a band, there is a lot of incentive for the student to not only continue with the lessons, but to learn more challenging aspects of the instrument so they can play a wider variety of songs.
As the student becomes better playing his/her instrument, we get them playing more complicated music; always making immediate use of what they are learning in their lessons
We believe that people learn better if they not only know why they are being taught something, but also if they have an opportunity to put what they have learned into practice.
The missing ingredient for most students who want to play rock music is the band. Electric music is a group activity. You don’t play a soccer game by yourself, and you don’t make rock music by yourself. You need a band. It all makes sense when you put what you learn in your lessons to use when you are rockin’ with your band.
